Backend and DevOps Engineer - Senior

Nimbus Careers is seeking a Senior Backend and DevOps Engineer to join their remote team in Vietnam on a 3-month contract with potential extension. The role focuses on building and optimizing backend systems and DevOps pipelines for high-traffic production environments. Key responsibilities include managing GCP infrastructure, developing backend services using Supabase, Firebase, and improving system observability and CI/CD pipelines. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in backend engineering or DevOps, solid TypeScript skills, and familiarity with technologies such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, GCP services (Pub/Sub, Cloud Task), and CircleCI for continuous integration. Experience with Supabase for at least one year is required. Familiarity with React TypeScript and concepts like memoization and state management is a plus. Proficiency in system monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK is also expected. Candidates must be fluent in English and able to optimize JavaScript code efficiently.
