Business Development Manager (Southeast Asia) - Remote
PeopleCert, a global leader in professional skills certification, is hiring a Business Development Manager to expand its LANGUAGECERT portfolio across Southeast Asia. This is a full-time, flexible position with potential travel across the region. The role involves developing B2B relationships, managing partnerships with language schools and educational institutions, and creating market entry strategies for targeted countries. You'll work closely with global teams to adapt marketing and product approaches locally. Ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of experience in business development, preferably in the language education, assessment, or EdTech sectors. A bachelor’s degree is required; postgraduate studies are a plus. You'll need strong B2B sales skills, knowledge of Southeast Asia’s language testing market, and the ability to work cross-culturally. Fluency in English (C2 level) is essential, and additional Southeast Asian languages are a plus. Familiarity with CRM tools like Microsoft Dynamics is also preferred.

PeopleCert is currently looking for a Business Development Manager in Southeast Asia, focusing on promoting and expanding LANGUAGECERT portfolio. The successful candidate will establish relationships with key decision makers of training organizations, universities, language schools etc. You will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and partnerships across the region assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop business opportunities for LANGUAGECERT in Southeast Asia through direct sales and channel partnerships.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of leads and key accounts.
- Forge and nurture high-impact relationships with senior decision-makers in language education and assessment.
- Develop go-to-market strategies tailored to each country’s unique language education landscape.
- Ensure market penetration and brand awareness of LANGUAGECERT certifications in both public and private sectors.
- Participate in trade shows, language education events, and strategic forums across the region.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with global product and marketing teams to drive local adaptation and growth.
What we look for:
- Bachelor’s degree (Postgraduate qualification is a plus).
- 10+ years’ experience in business development, ideally in the language testing, education, EdTech, or certification sectors.
- Proven success in consultative B2B sales and partnership development.
- Deep understanding of the language learning and assessment landscape in Southeast Asia, including key stakeholders, regulatory environments, and market trends.
- Experience in working across diverse cultural contexts and multi-country portfolios.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluency in English (C2 level); proficiency in any major Southeast Asian language is a plus.
- Tech-savvy, with familiarity in CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).
