Cybersecurity Software Engineer
Fetch Technology Vietnam is hiring a Cybersecurity Software Engineer to join a fully remote development team focused on building cutting-edge Attack Surface Management (ASM) solutions for a U.S.-based client in the AI-powered cybersecurity domain. This is a full-time position offering a competitive net monthly salary of $4,000 USD, along with benefits such as a 13th-month bonus, annual pay reviews, a MacBook or high-end laptop, 12 days of annual leave, and engaging team-building activities. You'll be part of an international team working Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM, developing scalable backend services, optimizing real-time data pipelines, and contributing to the security of top-tier digital assets.
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years of experience in software development—preferably in cybersecurity or network-related applications. Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or Node.js are essential, along with experience in API development (REST/GraphQL), microservices architecture, and tools like PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ/Kafka. Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking protocols, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and continuous integration workflows is also required. Familiarity with security tools and standards (e.g., CVE, OWASP) and good communication in English are key to success in this role.
Bonus points if you have experience with AI/ML for risk scoring, dark web monitoring, OSINT tools, or contributions to open-source security projects. RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our cybersecurity product development team focused on Attack Surface Management (ASM). In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize cutting-edge solutions that help organizations identify, monitor, and secure their digital assets. You will work closely with security researchers, data engineers, and DevOps teams to build scalable, reliable, and secure applications for real-time attack surface visibility.
- Design and implement backend services and APIs for ASM features such as:
- Asset Discovery & Enumeration (domains, IPs, subdomains, cloud assets)
- Vulnerability Scanning & Risk Scoring
- Threat Intelligence Integration (dark web, IP reputation, CVE feeds)
- Develop and optimize data pipelines for continuous monitoring and real-time updates.
- Implement integrations with third-party security tools, APIs, and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of the application.
- Work on secure coding practices and compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Collaborate with UI/UX and frontend developers to deliver intuitive dashboards.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and performance optimization.
- Research emerging technologies in ASM, EASM (External Attack Surface Management), and vulnerability management.
REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in cybersecurity or network applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Node.js (experience in more than one is a plus).
- Experience with API development (REST, GraphQL) and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka).
- Familiarity with security concepts: CVE, CWE, OWASP, vulnerability scanning tools.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and cloud environments.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Working knowledge of threat intelligence platforms, open-source ASM tools (e.g., Amass, Subfinder, Nmap), and automation frameworks.
- Good English both verbal and written skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with AI/ML for risk scoring or anomaly detection.
- Knowledge of dark web monitoring and OSINT automation.
- Contributions to open-source security projects.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust and attack surface reduction strategies.
