Freelance Electrical Engineering & Python Expert - AI Trainer
Mindrift offers remote, project-based opportunities for electrical engineers to contribute to the testing, evaluation, and improvement of AI systems for top tech firms. Participants engage in varied tasks, such as designing electrical engineering problems, validating AI solutions, and using Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) for calculations. Compensation is hourly ($40/hour max) or project-based, with flexible time commitments of 10–20 hours/week during active project phases. This is a gig-based role, not permanent employment, and payment rates depend on expertise and project scope.
Candidates should hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields, possess 3+ years of relevant experience, and demonstrate strong written English (C1/C2) and proficiency in Python for numerical validation. A stable internet connection is required, while certifications such as PE, CEng, EUR ING, or RPEQ, and experience in international or applied projects are considered advantages.
Applicants will undergo a qualification process before joining projects. Workload and rates are not guaranteed and vary by project phase and candidate skill level. Payment details are communicated on a per-project basis.

What we look for
This opportunity is a good fit for electrical engineers with an experience in python open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideally, contributors will have:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields, e.g. Electronics, Microelectronics, Embedded Systems, Power Systems, etc.
- 3+ years of professional electrical engineering experience
- Strong written English (C1/C2) • Strong Python proficiency for numerical validation
- Stable internet connection
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EUR ING, RPEQ) and experience in international or applied projects are an advantage.
