The Role
We're seeking a Full Stack Developer to enhance our web-based geospatial-temporal analytics platform. Current projects include partnering with government agencies to develop ML-powered detection systems for environmental phenomena like harmful algal blooms using space-based data.

Key Responsibilities
- Transform existing Python scripts that use Google Earth Engine into front-end JavaScript components as geospatial visuals, charts, and graphs (*critical)
- Create interactive mapping features using Mapbox
- Implement ongoing responsive UX/UI improvements and new features
- Optimize data loading speeds and implement appropriate strategies
- Write clean code with easy-to-understand documentation
Additional Requirements
- Commit 5 to 10 hours per week for the next 3 months, with room to increase
- Write very clean code
- Clean up code base so that it is easily understandable for future developers
- Clear communication
- Collaborate with other team members
- Preference for those with an active profile on Upwork so we can manage the contract there
