Role Description:
This full-time hybrid role for a Senior Java Developer is based in Vietnam, with some flexibility for remote work. The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications and software solutions. The role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting and debugging applications, and recommending effective solutions for business and technical challenges. The developer will also mentor junior team members and ensure adherence to best practices in coding and software development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Java Spring Boot microservices in a distributed environment.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs with high performance and scalability.
- Work with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch for data indexing and fast query performance.
- Ensure containerized deployments using Docker and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar).
- Implement best practices in logging, observability, and security (authentication & authorization).
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and enhance data pipeline efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum setup.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews.
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of Java development experience with Spring Boot.
- Proven experience in microservices, distributed systems, and REST API design.
- Hands-on with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
- Solid understanding of system observability and security principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills in Agile environments.
Preferred:
- Log aggregation tools: Logstash, Fluent Bit, Filebeat
- Grok patterns and log parsing
- Nginx configuration and Lua scripting
- Kubernetes deployment patterns
- Multi-tenant architecture experience
- OpenSearch Dashboards/Kibana
