Description: Journal Migration Specialist

We are seeking experts to assist a top publisher in transitioning their journal workflow management system from an existing legacy system to a homegrown platform. The specialist will analyze the current workflow and develop change management strategies to ensure a seamless transition to the new platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document existing workflow configurations.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project plan for the migration.
  • Compare workflows on both platforms and highlight key features for users.
  • Keep stakeholders updated throughout the transition and follow escalation protocols for any challenges.
  • Organize workshops and training sessions for the new system.
  • Provide ongoing support to the editorial team post-migration.

Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of editorial workflow systems.
  • Proven expertise in change management exercises, preferably with journal migration projects.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong relationships in the local publishing sector are preferred.
  • Understanding of cultural nuances and fluency in the local language are preferred.
