Engineering Manager – SaaS & AI Platform

Our mission is to apply AI and automation to help clinicians find the best job opportunities while enabling staffing agencies to operate faster, smarter, and at scale. We are building a multi-tenant SaaS platform with AI at its core, serving customers primarily in the United States, with engineering teams based in Vietnam.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Manager who can lead an in-office engineering team, drive execution excellence, and stay hands-on technically. This role is designed as a 60% management / 40% hands-on technical position. You will be responsible for people leadership, delivery, and quality, while also contributing directly to the enhancement of our SaaS platform.

You will work closely with:

• Engineering teams in Vietnam
• Customer-facing and business teams in the US
• Product, AI, and DevOps stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Management (60%)

• Lead and manage an in-office engineering team in Ho Chi Minh City
• Foster a strong execution, accountability, and collaboration culture
• Plan, run, and improve sprint execution (planning, standups, retrospectives)
• Ensure high standards of code quality, security, and reliability
• Mentor engineers and support their growth and performance
• Align engineering execution with business and product priorities

2. Technical Leadership & Hands-On Contribution (40%)

• Contribute directly to the development and enhancement of the SaaS platform
• Participate in system design and architecture decisions
• Code reviews and technical design reviews
• Complex feature development and refactoring
• Hands-on development using Ruby on Rails (backend) and React / React Native (frontend & mobile)
• Support cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Google Cloud
• Ensure the platform is scalable and ready for multi-tenant SaaS usage

AI-Driven Engineering Culture

Champion the use of AI tools to increase engineering productivity. Encourage AI-assisted coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Work closely with AI & Data teams to ensure smooth integration into the product. Promote experimentation and continuous improvement using AI.
