Senior Frontend Engineer
Employment Hero, a rapidly growing HR tech company headquartered in Auckland and operating globally, is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their fully remote team based in Vietnam. This full-time role contributes to Employment Hero’s all-in-one HR, payroll, and recruitment platform, helping develop groundbreaking features using the latest frontend technologies. You’ll work cross-functionally with designers and product managers to deliver user-centric components, focusing on ReactJS/Redux applications, automated testing, code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers. Experience in translating wireframes into functional UI components and mentoring team members is highly valued. Excellent English communication is essential. This Role
As one of our Senior Frontend Engineers, you'll be accountable for building and deploying the innovative features that change our customers' lives every day. From our trailblazing AI hiring tool to our fully automated payroll solution, every component of our Employment Operating System is carefully designed to disrupt the employment industry for the better, improving the lives of business owners and entrepreneurs everywhere.
Our world-class Product and Engineering teams delivered almost 1,000 new features last year. As one of our Senior Engineers, you'll play a vital role in the continued acceleration of our product strategy.
Responsibilities
- Driving your squad to develop critical features for our customers
- Collaborating closely with our global team of designers, product managers, and UX specialists to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Writing automated tests for your production codes
- Developing and maintaining key components of web applications
- Conducting testing and code reviews for both yourself and your colleagues
- Mentoring the Junior Engineers within your squad
Requirements

- Over 6 years of experience in Frontend Software Development
- Experience in CI/CD, web application performance tuning, ReactJS/Redux applications. In deep fundamental understanding of Javascript/Typescript, ReactJS/Redux, Building tools such as Webpack, Rollup, ViteJS
- Strong English communication skills (both verbal & written)
- Demonstrated experience implementing, maintaining, and deploying full-stack web technologies
- Strong understanding of standard Software Engineering processes, Testing, and Agile methodology
- A team player that always puts colleagues ahead of yourself and has a highly adaptable and versatile approach to work
- You are passionate about learning and sharing your knowledge and not afraid to challenge your peers but also welcome being challenged
- Experience in translating design wireframes into functioning UI components
