Senior Fullstack Developer
A leading recruitment client of itworks Asia is hiring a Senior Fullstack Developer to join their fully remote team based in Vietnam. This is a full-time, 100% remote role with a focus on building high-quality, scalable software solutions for a public community platform. Developers will work alongside a remote-first team of 90+ engineers, delivering modern web applications using a strong JavaScript stack. Core responsibilities include designing scalable system architecture, managing distributed systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring system reliability. The position offers a competitive salary of up to 70M VND gross/month, generous bonuses, 22 days of leave after 5 years, full insurance per Vietnamese labor laws, and extensive professional development support.
Ideal candidates have at least 7+ years of experience in software development, with strong proficiency in Node.js, React.js or Vue.js, and TypeScript. A deep understanding of cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices architecture, database modeling, and async messaging systems is required. Experience in system monitoring, alerting, performance optimization, and English fluency are essential. Candidates need strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The hiring process includes three rounds: a technical interview and live coding session, followed by client interviews including a take-home assessment, case study, and culture fit discussion. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH
- Good communication skills in English and Vietnamese is a must
- 7+ years of experience with Nodejs (strong) and ReactJS/VueJS, TypeScript
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable system architectures
- Proficiency in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-based solutions (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Deep understanding of database modeling, indexing, sharding, and caching strategies
- Knowledge of asynchronous messaging systems
- Proven ability to identify and resolve bottlenecks in large-scale systems
- Experience in implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems
- Humility to learn what you don’t know, everyday
- Ability to understand and define all actions to be performed when assigned to a task
- Ability to manage time when facing difficulties or under pressure or deadlines
