Senior Python Developer

724SOFTWARE, a leading Vietnam-based software development company, is seeking a remote Senior Backend Engineer to join their growing team on a 3-month freelance contract with potential for extension. The position requires working from Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, or Da Nang) during afternoon/evening hours (3pm–11pm or 1pm–9pm) to align with client schedules. Compensation is up to 50 million VND/month. The role involves designing and implementing scalable cloud-native backend services on AWS, developing APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align product functionality across platforms.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of backend engineering experience and be highly proficient in at least two of the following languages: Python, Java, or NodeJS. Expertise in AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3 is essential. Experience with microservices, RBAC, REST/GraphQL APIs, and multi-tenant SaaS environments is required, along with knowledge of secure coding and compliance patterns. Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone) and building RAG pipelines is strongly preferred. A solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and collaboration with frontend and product teams is expected.

Candidates are allowed to manage another freelance job, as long as they prioritize this role during working hours for meetings, development tasks, and active communication. Those with experience in GovCloud/FedRAMP or AI/ML backend integration will be considered a strong asset.
